Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship is more important than ever for our economic landscape in Germany and Europe! At Natango Invest GmbH, we are particularly interested in the opportunities that innovation in the financial industry presents. We discussed exactly this yesterday at the Spring Symposium of the Club of Finance e.V., held at the PWC Tower — with a breathtaking view of the Frankfurt skyline.
These were the key topics:
– The application of generative AI models in portfolio management and their impact on performance
– The use of LLMs (large language models) in this context
– Reasons for the tokenization (securitization) of asset classes and the resulting future investment opportunities, even for retail investors (due to lower costs while maintaining portfolio quality)
– Another major focus was the development of a VC ecosystem and incentivizing entrepreneurship — illustrated through a concrete example involving the three Rhine/Main universities (“Startup Factory”).
The development of the digital euro was also addressed, although no clear consensus emerged from the audience. With renowned speakers — among others, Prof. Dr. Ryan Riordan from LMU, Fred Sage, Enno Henke, and Prof. Dr. Michael Huth from Goethe University — the audience benefited from deep insights and extensive experience.
My fellow board members of the Club of Finance and I are very grateful to all the speakers for their time and contributions! The learning curve was steep, and the discussions during the breaks were stimulating and insightful.
In response to the ever-faster pace of innovation, we at Natango Invest have decided to expand our product offering in the area of Private Markets.
